Josh & Kriston’s beautiful fall wedding was hosted at The Historic Ramsey House off of John Sevier Highway in Knoxville, TN. Fun fact: I actually live about 10 minutes from here, drive by the sign all the time, and had NO idea they hosts weddings! So cool! This venue was awesome! From the gorgeous stone home to the luscious wooded grounds, there were so many great spots for photos.
We started early in the afternoon with detail photos, photos of the bride & groom getting ready with their bridal party, and then set up for the first look. Little did Josh know that Kriston had a big surprise for him….along with the help of one of his groomsmen! (See photos below). They pulled the best prank on Josh, we got lots of laughs, and then Kriston came out for the most heartfelt reveal I have captured in quite some time.
We spent some time doing portraits & photos with the bridal party & then tucked away as the guests arrived for the ceremony.
It couldn’t have been a more beautiful fall evening. It was the middle of October (the Saturday of the Tennessee vs. Florida game to be exact), and we were just starting to get a glimpse of fall in the air. The trees were starting to show a little color, and the entire reception was hosted outdoors.
They had a food truck (Penne for your Thoughts) which was absolutely delicious, a super fun cocktail hour, a firepit for s’mores, delicious cake, and hours of dancing & Tennessee football….of course!
I loved the way their tables were set up in a square around the dance floor so that guests could sit & watch the special dances.
We ended the night with a spectacular sparkler exit….AND a Tennessee win! What a night! It was such an honor to capture this special day for Kriston & Josh. They were such a blast to work with!
