When AJ reached out to me about photographing her October wedding, I was completely honored. AJ is a wedding planner in Knoxville and is the face & heart behind Ellery Blue Weddings. I have worked with her a number of times, and I already knew she was fantastic. But anytime a wedding vendor hires me for photography, it is an especially great honor because I know they have so many choices!
I knew AJ’s day would be absolutely gorgeous, and I was 100% right. No detail went unnoticed. From the beautiful, unique green gown that she wore, to the jewelry pieces on Seth’s suit, to the handmade paper cranes beautifully place around the ceremony & reception, and the absolutely gorgeous place settings…my jaw dropped the moment I arrived!

My favorite part about AJ & Seth’s wedding at The Grand Victorian is how much thought they put into their timeline. They were not afraid to think outside of the box & do things their way. For instance, they opted to get ready together instead of separately (which made for some really sweet photo ops). We did all of their photos prior to the ceremony, and in fact, right at golden hour which was absolutely gorgeous! The ceremony was scheduled at sunset which set the most romantic mood. And then, the couple chose to do a sparkler entrance into their reception (instead of a sparkler exit). This ensured that all of the guests would be present, and it was such a special way to kick off the party!

All in all, this wedding day was one of my favorites of the year! I loved the thoughtful details, the unique timeline, and the way the day flowed effortlessly from one moment to the next. I have always been a huge fan of The Grand Victorian. The owners are the sweetest people, and the grounds are absolutely stunning & give so many options for great photos. But I think my favorite part of this day was witnessing the love & trust between AJ & Seth. You could truly feel how much they care for each other. It was absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t be more happy for them!
